MEET GEORGE
HEAD TRAINER AND OWNER OF GK9A
Anyone that knows me knows i’m a grafter and strive for excellence in all that I do. I would say i’m calm, patient and the dogs love me. I have spent the last few years studying and developing my skills and knowledge in all areas of the dog training industry from my early days as a child where my parents would breed showline wheaten terriers and compete in competitive show conditions to working with various trainers and gaining knowledge and experience. I have completed the Fenrir canine training programme, Shield K9, Obsidian K9, various other training courses including e-collar, reactivity, I have attended bootcamps and learnt skills that I use today in my own training methods and I am currently under the YCA studying Jacobs mentorship and growing my knowledge. I am fully insured and first aid trained. I am always willing to learn new skills and keep upto date with the latest methods.
I have worked with hundreds of different dog breeds over the years and have had an insight into all areas of the dog world but my true passion is training reactive dogs and allowing them to fulfil there genetics and ultimately create calm in a world of chaos.
The journey for me started when I got my very first puppy “Duke” wow what an experience that was we had 3 kids under the age of 6, a newborn baby and a puppy I didn't realise what I had let myself in for but I wouldn’t have changed the experience for the world, my passion for dog training grew and grew along with my confidence. I work hard and I train harder me and ED never miss a training opportunity.
Meet ED the ‘nutcase’ Belgium Malinois
Anyone who knows about this breed they know they are completely and utterly nuts full on energy cranked up to 100 and they don’t stop always looking for a job to do or something to mess up. My journey started when I fostered ED on short term basis and I fell in love with all his bat shit craziness. Ed has undergone extensive training since I adopted him he was reactive to anything and was like a tornado that would tear through the house destroying everything in his path, but now what a difference. He is my stooge dog and I would be lost without him we make a great team.
Meet Duke ‘the heinz 57’
He is the leader of our pack who loves his food, swimming in the sea, long runs over the golf course and protecting our family. I have had duke from a puppy and its where I developed a passion for dog training and my journey began. Duke is the biggest bundle of fluff and cuddles and has eyes that could melt even the coldest of hearts. He is a larger than life character and everyone who meets him loves him.
Roxie ‘the pig dog’ frenchie
Rox is the queen of our clang and our little pocket rocket frenchie, anyone that knows about french bulldogs know they have big hearts and even bigger characters. She had a whole host of issues when we rescued her definitely little dog syndrome, but today she is our relaxed, totally chilled out noise bag that loves nothing more than snoring in the sunshine and boy can she snore the noises that come out of something so little is unreal.
